SMC Announces Virtual Residencies
Starting from April, SMC will offer to all Master (Graduate) level students a new, optional format to enhance their learning experience – the "Virtual Residency".
Following the great success of the on-site residencies offered to Doctoral students, we have been researching various ways of additional services tailored to accommodate our Master Students’ needs. We came to the conclusion that the demand of synchronous and connected learning methods can best be met in a residency, which entirely is held in a virtual classroom, connecting students live in all parts of the world. You will be able to sign up and follow selected courses in a live video conferencing setup in small groups (maximum 15 students) during four live sessions, three hours each. Together with pre- and post residency assignments, a course can be completed in a highly efficient and timely manner – a true alternative to the established asynchronous, flexible learning format. This option will be an affordable, fast-track, yet flexible option to enhance your overall learning experience at SMC. We will send out detailed information and the calendar shortly.
